Communications

Communications are an important part of everyday life, whether it be for calling family, or reporting an emergency. But with the techology available, is it reasonable for us to pay as much as we do?

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is basically a technology that allows you to make phone calls over the Internet. In most cases, call quality is not significantly different to calls via standard phones - in some cases it's even better as the signal is not bounced around satellites.

Technology is developing very rapidly, and it wont be long before VoIP technology is integrated into our everyday lives. Where are many VoIP services, and usually the voice quality is outstanding, and calls from computer to computer (even internationally) are free.

Technology that is already available:

Free Calls | Skype.com: This is a very widely used service recently purchase by Microsoft. But it is not the only such service. The calling rates are far cheaper than you pay through a normal telecommunications company, although there are some limitations. You can also use real phones (click here), so you will barely know the difference.

Cheap Mobile Phone Service | Amaysim: This is probably the cheapest cellular phone service provider. If you really need a mobile phone, this one is the cheapest I've found. The more people that use this service, the more other service providers will be forced to charge reasonable rates.

Our Developments:

For now we have ceased developing communications technology as we feel the services above address the need. Additionally, it will not be long before services like Skype become even more widely used. Then you won't be charged unjustified amounts from typical phone companies.
