it seems to me that as we build tunnels for trains, across the channel, how hard would it be to build a tube,
with a vacuum so that modules could " float " in it, and travel to destinations. a simple vacuum chamber at each end could pressure and depressurise enabling boarding and disembarking. and the module could be dviven with a gyroscopic engine.

they could travel at vast speeds and never hit anything because they would be underground.

any thoughts ?
