i have often thought about why flying saucers, when reported, always seem to be spinning round.
my opinion is that they use some sort of magnetic force to drive the ship like a gyroscope.
im pretty sure that a gyroscope in space would just keep going whichever way it was pointed, and thus use very little energy.

i have also wondered if in the future a means of transport could be developed here on earth using
these means.

any thoughts ?

1. It takes infinite energy to travel at the speed of light. Nothing can travel faster than light. However, saucers may not move anywhere - they bend space around them.

2. Saucers may not "use" energy like our systems.

an interesting theory steve, and one ive pondered many times. i have also wondered if indeed light actually moves at all, or if indeed it is the darkness that moves and the light is constant. or even if it purely our mind that moves and everything else is imagination, it strikes me that before a thing can be it must first be thought, and therefore all things have thier origin in thought. this being the case it is as you say an explanation of how other entities could "use" energy in a different way to ourselves
